He has chosen me. He knows my every flaw. He loves me, so now I may love others.

Cute spider
Spiders are Gods creatures too. My girls and I went to a the craft show last weekend and all they wanted was a bug box that was hand made. Papa was so nice to help the girls catch a few spiders to put into their boxes. We had a lot of fun watching the spiders through the cage, but for some reason one of my girls decided that her spiders needed to come with us to the pumpkin patch this weekend and some how he got out. He found his way under the car seat and through the hole where the seat belts buckle in the back. The girls FREAKED out! I couldn't get them to get back into the car for almost 2 days. Today I finally found our friendly little spider in the back of the car. I had to get it out and show the girls that it was no longer making his house in our car. The one who wanted to take the spider with her told me after it was all said and done " Mom, I'm not sure what i was thinking. I should of left the spider at home on the front porch where he was supposed to be."
I love the change of the season when the green leave turn into beautiful colors. The cute front porches and yard seem to come alive with all the bright orange, yellow and purples mixed in with brown. The sound of the leaves as they blow across the ground. Oh and the showers that bring such a sweet smell. God shows himself in all that he has created.
Genesis 8:22 "As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."

Love...Old Churches & New Brides...Rhindland Texas
And now I will show y ou the most excellent way.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud .5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres. 8 Love never fails.
13And now these three remain faith hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
My 3 were able to be part again of a wonderful beginning...
Giving God the glory... Thank you God for beautiful brides and beautiful flower girls and beautiful church buildings...

When I was gr owning up in a pretty small town, one of the thing we liked doing when we were in high school was driving the drag from Sonic to McDonalds over and over and over. We used to stop at Sonic and hang out with our friends. Eventually Sonic decided not to allow us to park there anymore and would run us off. So we would have to find another place to hang out. We usually ended up at the roadside park and there was usually alot of cheep beer and wine coolers. So of course most of us would drink or even get drunk. We wanted to be cool.
Growing up in church I wanted to find something in the bible that said it was ok to do this. I never really looked it up for my self but I knew that somewhere in the Bible it said something about " Eat, Drink and be Merry. " I guess I lied to myself and allowed that to influence me into thinking that it is ok to get drunk, LOVE food and be a merry person, after all it was fun. We all want to just have fun, right?
Well I was recently challenged in one of my Bible studies with the actual part of the Bible that says this. I am understanding more and more how to put words and verses in their contexts. If you will read the following parable you will maybe understand why the Bible does not actually say "Eat, Drink and be Merry"
Luke 12:13-21
Now who has been a fool for so long? Me!

Weak Link
I am still growing even though I don't ever get to blog about it.
I am struggling with being selfish. Why is it so hard for me to keep my eyes on the love that I will someday get when I am in Heaven? Why do I take thing into my own hands? Why am I not patient enough to let God do what he want to do with me? I try to fill my voids in my own ways. I don't always seek Gods guidance and even some times when I do seek his guidance I still chose to go in my own direction. I'm weak. I'm nothing. Yet God still loves me so much. More than I can ever know. Why is it that I forget though? I'm only a mist, here today gone tomorrow. I am working on a lot of thing right now. I know what I need to do, its just hard for me to sometimes stop letting my heart get involved. My heart deceives me more times than not. I am hungry for an authentic faith. I want to be wildly in love with God. I want him to be the one who fills my every desire. I want to learn how to be completely satisfied with the love he will give me. I'm trying so hard to learn how that really feels. I know the love he can give me will be more powerful than the touch and embrace of the people I love here on earth can even give me. You know, the way it feels on your skin when the people you love hug you and hold you and you can actually feel it. I just have to learn how it feels for Gods kind of love to fall over me. I think what I have to do is just give everything up that makes me feel good in the moment and just sit quietly and wait for Gods hand to touch me. Not really as easy as it sounds. I'm trying.
