He has chosen me. He knows my every flaw. He loves me, so now I may love others.

Thankful for my boots!
Today I wore some vintage boots I got at the Vintage Rose here in Lubbock. I really felt good in them today and my choir minister kept calling me "BOOTS"! Made my day but I have had that song in my head all day...it goes like this " these boots were made for walking. That's just what Ill do. One of these days these boots are guna walk all over you...Not the best song but I still felt good all day. Kaylee was really nice and took my picture.
So, what about you? What are your top 10 things you are thankful for? Are you thankful that God loves you and that he has given us his gift of grace? I am... tell me what you are most thankful for!

Prayer is a muscle.
You know, I really like to work out. I love to build up my muscles. I like looking fit. I want my muscles to be defined. It takes time to get the body in that kind of shape. You have to be disciplined with what you eat and the amount of cardio time you get in. Its not easy work, but I make sure that I get into the weight room at least 4 hours a week. I run at least 2 days a week. I record what I eat and go to weight watchers meetings. I add protein to my diet to help build muscles. Sometimes it even hurts a little. Sometimes I just don't feel like going to the gym.
So this weekend we are hosting a home for Jr. High girls for Disciple Now. One of the things that the girls have talked about is how important prayer is in your life. Jennifer G is leading the bible studies and one her examples of this is awesome. She told the girls that prayer is a muscle. Basically if you don't use it, it will be very weak. If you don't pray on a daily basis you are not going to be very strong. If you really love Jesus and want to follow what God has planned out for you, you need to talk to God. Talk to him about everything. Does he know what you are going through already? Sure he does. Does he know if you are having a bad hair day? Sure he does. Do you think he know about that fight you had with your friend today? Sure. Do you think he knows you were rude to your parents? Yep! He already know about everything you are going through, but he really wants you to talk to him about it. Do you not know how to pray? Some people think they don't. If you have heard the man at church that wears the suite and tie and passes the offering plate pray with all of the big words and thought to your self, I cant pray like that, don't worry about it. I cant pray like that myself. You don't have to pray like that. Think of God as your Father or your best friend. Just talk to God as you would your best friend. It doesn't always have to be on your knees and with closed eyes. Just wake up and tell God whats up...This is where the muscle part comes into play. When you first start, you may get a little sore but if you just keep pumping it up you will get stronger over time. Then it becomes the part of the day you look forward to the most. You will be more defined and you will want to show everyone what it looks like.
Some verses to look at are ...
Good place to start...Luke 11:1 "Lord, teach us to pray."
1Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray at all times."
Luke 18:1b "Pray and never give up."
VINTAGE TIME!!

Weekend walk downtown
God uses your weakness to show off His glory. Have you ever just struggled day in and day out with something? I sure do. My spirit is right with God yet my flesh doesn't always follow the way my spirit knows I should go. I was running the other day and listening to my Ipod. I have no dough that God was talking to me. He was telling me to just TRUST HIM. He will fill my cup. He will take care of things the way he sees fit. Its just so hard for me to do that when it comes to some things in my life. Things I love that I should give up. Things that make me feel good that I should just give up. We all have things we worry about or don't really give over to God to take control of. Its hard to lets someone else be in control of things in your life, but God will provide. So I again will attempt to give my control of these things I struggle with over to God. I know he can use my weakness to show His glory !
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
These were some cool buildings, doors and stuff we saw on our walk downtown this weekend.
a rock garden right beside the railroad tracks and highway
Old cleaners. love the doors.
Still looking for the perfect place for our Christmas pics...
